When you book through Vagaro, you'll complete your intake form right in the booking process. It covers your health history, areas of focus, pressure preferences, and anything you'd like us to avoid.
When you come in, your therapist will go over your intake with you, confirm your goals, and answer any questions. From there, they’ll step out while you undress to your comfort level and get settled on the table — which includes a table warmer for added comfort.
Once you’re ready, your therapist will re-enter and begin your session. In most cases, massage starts with you lying face-up (supine), unless otherwise discussed based on your needs. A full-body session typically begins with the neck, shoulders, arms and hands, followed by the legs and feet.
You’ll then be guided to turn over onto your stomach (prone) to complete the session by working the posterior legs, as well as the back and shoulders. If your session is more focused—such as an upper body massage—the flow is similar, simply leaving out areas like the legs to concentrate on your primary areas of tension.
Once your session time is complete, your therapist will let you know and step out of the room so you can get dressed. Afterward, they’ll check in with you, offer any recommendations based on their findings, and complete checkout using the card on file through Vagaro.
Every session is customized, so the flow and areas worked may vary depending on your goals, preferences, and intake form.
